Bossou is the bull god of Haitian religion. He belongs to the Petwo nation an indigenously Haitian category of hot and violent divinities. He is often associated with war and fighting and is not a very reliable lwa. Each of his three horns has a meaning: strength, wildness, and violence. The colors black and red are typical of the Petwo divinties. This particular bottle has three horns, which is indicative of the bull god. According to Madame Maude Evans, Bossou is always depicted with three horns.
